Holly massengill, msn, nurse practitioner
Holly obtained her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Lincoln Memorial University, where she graduated summa cum laude and first in her class. She is also a graduate of Tennessee Technological University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, where she also graduated summa cum laude. She has over twelve years of experience in the medical field, in which more than six have been completed working in nutrition, fitness, and weight management and the other four were completed as a Registered Nurse at Parkwest Medical Center.
She is Board Certified and Credentialed by the following:
- The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner and the Tennessee Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and Registered Nurse (RN)
- The American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- She is a member of the Tennessee Nursing Association and the American Nurses Association
Over the past six years Holly has discovered that helping individuals achieve a healthier way of life is really her passion. Apart from that though, she also has a strong passion for missions around the world, particularly in Haiti, where she loves to do medical mission work. If she isn't working or doing missions, she's usually spending time with her family, including her two Small Breed Rescue dogs, Yogi-Bear and Bella.
Jessica farkas, Medical assistant
Jessica received her national Medical Assistant certification from Cochise College in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She has been working in the medical field for over five years now, and thoroughly enjoys encouraging individuals while helping them achieve their health and weight loss goals. She takes great pride in getting to know her patients and strives to make each one feel welcomed and like family.
While she has lived all over the world, she has made "home" here in East Tennessee with her family. She loves spending time with her daughter, her boyfriend, and their two dogs and cat.
Kirsten Rhodes, AAS, receptionist / Marketing
Kirsten received her Associates of Science Degree from Pellissippi State Community College. She has plans to continue her education in pursuing her career as a Physical Therapist.
Following high school, she worked as a childcare provider where she spent three years working and caring for children, while attending college. She has spent the last year working in customer service.
Over the past few years, she has discovered her drive to help others fulfill their needs and is eager to assist them along the way. Aside from working and going to school she is usually spending time with her family, working out at the gym, or hanging out with friends.
Dr. Bertram Prosser, M.D. MPH, Medical director
Dr. Bertram Prosser received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He completed residency training at the University of Arizona South Campus in Tucson, Arizona, and also completed a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University. He primarily practices as an Emergency Physician and became interested in weight management as a means of controlling a common risk factor for many diseases frequently seen in his work in the Emergency Department.
Prior to attending medical school Dr. Prosser attended the US Naval Academy, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree and spent the next 9 years as a Naval Aviator.
