HOLLY MASSENGILL, MSN, NURSE PRACTITIONER / OWNER

Holly obtained her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Lincoln Memorial University, where she graduated summa cum laude and first in her class. She is also a graduate of Tennessee Technological University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, where she also graduated summa cum laude. She has over thirteen years of experience in the medical field, in which more than nine have been completed working in nutrition, fitness, and weight management and the other four were completed as a Registered Nurse at Parkwest Medical Center.

She is Board Certified and Credentialed by the following:

  • The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner and the Tennessee Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and Registered Nurse (RN)

  • The American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • She is a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association

Over the past several years Holly has discovered that helping individuals achieve a healthier way of life is really her passion. Apart from that though, she also has a strong passion for missions around the world, particularly in Haiti, where she loves to do medical mission work. If she isn't working or doing missions, she's usually spending time with her family hiking or traveling. She is a huge advocate of the Alzheimer’s Association and of Small Breed Rescue of East Tennessee.

 

KIRSTEN RHODES, AAS, certified MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Kirsten received her Associates of Science Degree from Pellissippi State Community College. She also received her national Medical Assistant certification from the University of Tennessee. 

Following high school, she worked as a childcare provider where she spent three years working and caring for children, while attending college. Since then, she has spent over 12 years working in customer service in which over 7 years working in the medical field dealing with weight management. 

Over the past several years, she has discovered her passion for fitness. She has a strong drive to help others fulfill their fitness and health needs and is eager to assist them along the way.  Aside from working, she is a mother to her daughter, enjoys being outside, spending time with her family and friends, and working out at the gym. 

 

Erika Lovingood, BA, Certified medical assistant

Erikas journey in healthcare started as a child by watching her father serve a small community in North Georgia as a dedicated firefighter. 

After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in both Psychology and Music from Carson Newman University in 2013, she began a new journey of pursing her own path to serving her community. After graduation, she worked in various clerical roles from receptionist to property management. Then, she decided it was time to try something new. She graduated from South College with her Associates Degree in Medical Assisting in September of 2020. 

From there, she started her medical career as a technician in the Emergency Room at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. After that, she took on a new role as a Certified Dermatology Technician at a local private practice. In the meantime, she also worked part time at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Urgent Care and a pediatric primary practice in Hardin Valley. 

She is a firm believer in the power of teamwork and was ready to jump into yet another role at New Vision Weight Loss Clinic. She has a passion to serve others and create connections with her patients while she partners with them on their own journeys to find health and happiness. 

When she’s not working she is at home with her family —knitting, spending time with friends, or napping. She is thrilled to be part of the team at New Vision and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

 

DR. BERTRAM PROSSER, M.D. MPH, MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Dr. Bertram Prosser received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He completed residency training at the University of Arizona South Campus in Tucson, Arizona, and also completed a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University. He primarily practices as an Emergency Physician and became interested in weight management as a means of controlling a common risk factor for many diseases frequently seen in his work in the Emergency Department.

Prior to attending medical school Dr. Prosser attended the US Naval Academy, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree and spent the next 9 years as a Naval Aviator.
